Atlanta, the capital of Georgia, is the largest metropolitan area in the
state and one of the fastest growing in the nation. The area boasts
a wide array of attractions for every interest. Art and music venues
abound, including the world-famous Fox Theatre, a National Historic
Landmark. Tourists can also find museums devoted to science, fine
art, and history. The Georgia Aquarium is the largest in the
world. Additionally, the city is home to four major sports
teams: the Braves in the MLB, the Falcons in the NFL, the Hawks in
the NBA, and the Thrashers in the NHL. Atlanta is also home to many
major corporations, from Arby's to The Home Depot and other Fortune 500
companies. Coca-Cola's international headquarters are here;
visitors can even tour the World of Coca-Cola museum, which pays tribute
to the famous soda.
