Louisville, Kentucky, home to over half a million people, is steeped in
history.  The classic Louisville Slugger, the official bat of Major
League Baseball, originates here.  The Old Louisville neighborhood
is home to the largest collection of preserved Victorian architecture in
the nation.  Visitors can take a ride on the Belle of Louisville,
the oldest operating steamboat in America.  The city produces over
one third of the world's bourbon; the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and Urban
Bourbon Trail offer fascinating insight into the rich tradition of
bourbon distillation.  Speaking to more recent history, the Muhammad
Ali Center tells the life story of the famous boxer.  In the midst
of these historical and cultural attractions, Louisville's greatest claim
to fame is arguably the Kentucky Derby.  Often called "The Most
Exciting Two Minutes in Sports," this first leg of the Triple Crown is
held at historic Churchill Downs each year.
