"Green" is an apt word to describe Portland, Oregon. Located at
the meeting of the Willamette and Columbia rivers, the area abounds
with natural beauty. The roughly half-million residents take
tremendous pride in their city's efforts to celebrate the environment
and promote eco-friendly lifestyles. Nature is at the forefront of
local culture. The city is studded with beautifully landscaped

roses, draw tourists from around the world. The city boasts an

of bike lanes, streetcars, and an aerial tram. Just a short drive
away from the city center, vineyards dot the picturesque Oregon wine
country, and the Pacific Ocean offers a wealth of experiences from
